Graduate Medical Education
Interns, residents and fellows training at Brigham and Women's Hospital and it’s affiliates participate in variety of training courses as they progress through their training. Course focus on both the technical and non-technical skills necessary for the chosen discipline. Many sessions focus on high-acuity, low frequency events that prepare trainees for events in the clinical setting.

Anesthesiology Residency Orientation - Part 1: Drownproofing
During this course, CA-1 Anesthesia Residents will practice applying airway management procedures to clinical scenarios.
Anesthesiology Resident Crisis Resource Management Course
Participants will learn to diagnose and manage acute perioperative events of various etiologies and manage these situations utilizing the framework of resource management. They will also review and practice use of the Crisis Checklists in during these events.
Cardiothoracic Surgery Bootcamp Philosophy, CRM, and Team Building Course
This course will introduce Cardiothoracic residents to the concepts of crisis resource management and the importance of team building.
HAEMR GI Course
This course is designed to provide emergency medicine residents with practical learning and discussion opportunities around managing acute abdominal emergencies that they might encounter in the emergency department.
HAEMR Neurological Emergencies Course
During this course, Emergency Medicine Residents will review and practice management of neurological emergencies.
Internal Medicine Residency Intern Curriculum Course - Part 1
This course will introduce PGY1 Medicine Residents on how to approach and manage patients to prepare for their clinical service.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Boston Combined Residency Program (BCRP) Intern Bootcamp
During this course, residents of the Boston Combined Residency Program in Pediatrics will learn resuscitation procedures for neonatal patients.
OB/GYN Residency Operative Delivery Course
During this course, OB/GYN residents will review vacuum and forceps types and how to perform vacuum and forceps assisted vaginal deliveries.
