Participants will learn to diagnose and manage acute perioperative events of various etiologies and manage these situations utilizing the framework of resource management. They will also review and practice use of the Crisis Checklists in during these events.

Anesthesiology Surgical Cricothyrotomy Course

This course will re-educate clinicians’ understanding of airway emergency, including ways in which the usual methodology can fail. The course will emphasize the importance of cricothyrotomy in preventing death, and familiarize with the scenarios that cricothyrotomy is most crucial.

Anesthesiology Transthoracic Echo (TTE) Course

During this course, a short presentation will be given to introduce the participants to the basics of transthoracic echocoardiography. Participants will have the opportunity to show their ability to obtain TTE images on healthy live models/simulator.
