MGH Learning Laboratory

This course in central line placement will include didactic review of the indications and contraindications, along with discussion of the procedure and materials/equipment utilized for central line placement. The hands-on component will include review of the ultrasound equipment and practice scans of neck vasculature, preparation of the field, and mentored central line placement using procedural task trainers. Instructors will review appropriate technique and confirmation of proper placement.
