This four-session course provides a practical introduction for clinical researchers who are interested in developing a study involving qualitative research methods. Course topics include:
1. Overview of qualitative and mixed method aims, designs and methodologies
2. Selecting a study design, recruitment strategy and sample size
3. Developing a qualitative research data collection instrument (e.g., interview guide)
4. Coding and analyzing qualitative research data; integrating mixed methods results
