In Situ simulation of a recently postoperative patient on VA ECMO who is not anticoagulated given concerns for ongoing bleeding who develops oxygenator failure due to excessive clot burden. The patient will require emergent ECMO oxygenator exchange at the bedside. The team must activate the appropriate response, obtain the appropriate equipment from the standard locations in the ward, hemodynamically support the patient during temporary cessation of circulatory support, and successfully perform the circuit exchange under sterile conditions.
