A Clinical Research Fellow’s Guide to Mentoring and Resources

This orientation program will provide a networking opportunity for new clinical research fellows. Dr. Karen Miller will discuss strategies and resources for a successful research fellowship and career at MGH. Dr. Andrew Nierenberg will introduce the Division of Clinical Research (DCR) and describe resources available to support new fellows conducting clinical research.

Anonymous: This course was really disappointing, especially after seeing how many positive reviews it has received previously. The presentation style left lots to be desired. The mentorship discussion appeared to be reused from previous years with little preparation in advance of the course. Mentorship is such an important topic, I wish this presentation would have done it justice. Additionally lots of resources were presented, which is great, however many divisions/units incur a charge, which was under emphasized.

Anonymous: Great for an overall introduction to all the resources available. Would like a little more detail on some of them but that can be offered in a different course. Would also be interested in time/project management courses for research fellows.
