Speaking Up: How to Represent Yourself and Get Your Ideas Heard

Ended: Dec. 1, 2020

A seminar for MGH faculty with HMS academic appointments.

Would you like your ideas to get more recognition?

Are you a great advocate for others but not as good at meeting your own interests?

In large groups, do you struggle to get your voice heard?

Speaking up clearly and effectively is a critical leadership skill. Whether leading a team, or navigating an academic career, representing yourself is critical to your success. In this interactive session, we examine common roadblocks to effective assertion and offer practical tips to help professionals speak up more effectively.

Facilitators: Gillien Todd, JD, Lecturer, Harvard Law School and Harvard Graduate School of Education; Consultant, Triad Consulting
