Competitive Capital Programs Info Session

Carla Reimold, PhD, Director of Industry Programs at the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center will be onsite to provide and overview of the programs and answer questions.

Overview
For more than a decade, the advancement of the Massachusetts life sciences ecosystem has been aided by the capital investment activities of the MLSC. These programs have translated into significant strategic investments, which have enabled anchor institutions across the Commonwealth to advance new scientific discoveries to keep Massachusetts at the cutting-edge of life sciences advances and capabilities.
These advancements continue through new MLSC capital programs aimed at workforce development and training, research and development, and manufacturing. Applicants, which may include academic organizations, research institutions, research hospitals, business incubators and other non-profit organizations, and whose projects represent positive economic contributions for the state’s life sciences ecosystem, are encouraged to learn more.

Open Capital Program: Capital projects that support the life sciences ecosystem by enabling and supporting research and development and commercialization and/or manufacturing in the Commonwealth.

Bits to Bytes: Encourage the use of high throughput, systems-based approaches to generate large datasets and novel predictive algorithms to answer important scientific questions.

Novel Therapeutics Delivery: Encourage the development of improved manufacturing, devices, and delivery methods of existing or innovative therapies.

Women’s Health: Encourage collaboration across industry to develop solutions for the treatment of conditions which disproportionately/differently affect women.

From 60 Fenwood Rd:
Enter at 60 Fenwood Rd lobby entrance. STAIRS: Take the lobby staircase to the 2nd floor. The conference room will be on your right near the display monitor. ELEVATOR: Enter at 60 Fenwood Rd main entrance and take the S Elevator to the 2nd floor. Once you exit the elevator, take a right and walk past the balcony overlooking the atrium and the conference room will be straight ahead near the display monitor.
