Join the Brigham Research Institute (BRI) and Office for Research Careers (ORC) in our summer kickoff event to celebrate the Research community. We want to dedicate this gathering to BWH researchers and research staff who work to find solutions to complex problems and generate a culture of innovation.

This is a fun and informal event with lunch, games, prizes and more, that will provide a collaborative environment for researchers and research staff to meet each other and make connections. Dr. Betsy Nabel, the BRI Executive Committee, and members of the ORC will be in attendance to recognize, celebrate and honor the research staff.

Dr. Nabel will be announcing the recipients of the 2020 President’s Scholar Awards. These annual awards will honor assistant or associate professors who have made noteworthy contributions in their field of research and who have exceptional potential. Each distinguished awardee will receive $100,000 per year for three years. This exciting announcement will be the first of its kind and we encourage you to join us in congratulating our four outstanding scholars.

We will also be revealing the winner of the 9th Annual $100,000 BRIght Futures Prize. This philanthropically supported fund supports investigators as they work to answer provocative questions or solve grand problems. The recipient was ultimately selected based on the results of an exciting online voting process that was open to anyone in the BWH community and surrounding lay public, as well as people all over the globe.

Direction to Hale Café Atrium (60 Fenwood Road, Boston, MA): Enter at 60 Fenwood Rd lobby. Take the S elevators to the 1st floor, and the atrium will be on your right. OR at the 60 Fenwood Rd lobby take the stairs up one flight to the 1st floor, and the open atrium will be on your left.
